At BGreater, we believe barefoot shoes are better for everyone. Our mission is to get children off on the right foot and start their barefoot journey as early as possible.
Founded by parents, for parents, BGreater was created by Iain after his own rehab and wellness journey highlighted the importance of foot health. Unable to find affordable, well-designed barefoot shoes for his own children, he set out to create shoes that support natural foot development, don't cost the earth, and truly feel made for kids.
We are currently experiencing significant growth, making this an exciting time to join a supportive, ambitious and close-knit team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves social media, content creation and storytelling to play a key role in building a fast-growing children's footwear brand.
The Role
We are looking for a creative, organised and proactive Social Media & Content Creation Assistant to help bring the BGreater brand to life across our social media channels.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating engaging content, spotting trends, building online communities and telling authentic stories through social media. Working closely with our founder and marketing team, you'll help create content that connects with parents, showcases our products and supports the continued growth of the brand.
We are ideally looking for someone based within reasonable commuting distance of Cheltenham who can work from our office three days per week minimum. We are open to flexible working arrangements, including shorter school-friendly hours or spreading hours across four or five days, for the right candidate.
Due to the seasonal nature of the business, applicants must be available during our peak trading period from mid-July through August.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
- Assist in managing BGreater's social media channels including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Pinterest.
- Schedule and publish content across platforms.
- Monitor comments, messages and community interactions, helping to build meaningful engagement with our audience.
- Identify social media trends, opportunities and content ideas that align with the brand.
- Support influencer, ambassador and user-generated content activity.
Content Creation
- Capture photo and video content in our Cheltenham office, warehouse and at external events or shoots.
- Create engaging short-form content including Reels, TikToks, Stories and behind-the-scenes updates.
- Support the creation of founder-led content and authentic brand storytelling.
- Work with the team to develop content around products, customer stories, team culture and educational topics.
- Help maintain a consistent flow of content across all channels.
Video Editing & Creative Support
- Edit video content using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or similar platforms.
- Repurpose existing content into new formats for different channels.
- Create simple graphics and visual assets for social media.
- Support content creation for marketing campaigns, product launches and seasonal promotions.
Community & Brand Building
- Help grow and nurture the BGreater online community.
- Engage with customers, brand advocates and influencers.
- Identify opportunities to encourage user-generated content and customer storytelling.
- Support initiatives that increase brand awareness, engagement and loyalty.
Content Planning & Organisation
- Assist with content calendars and campaign planning.
- Organise and maintain photo, video and creative asset libraries.
- Ensure content is stored, labelled and easily accessible for future use.
- Help track content performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- A genuine passion for social media, content creation and digital marketing.
- Experience creating content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
- Strong video editing skills using CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar tools.
- Good understanding of social media trends and platform best practices.
- Confident using a smartphone to capture engaging photo and video content.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a small team.
Desirable
- Experience working with e-commerce, lifestyle, parenting or consumer brands.
- Basic photography and graphic design skills.
- Experience using Canva or similar design tools.
- Understanding of social media analytics and content performance.
- Experience working with influencers, ambassadors or community-building initiatives.

Working Arrangements
- In office or hybrid role based in Cheltenham.
- Minimum three days per week in the office.
